I'm Jessica Barbara Black, although most people know me as Jess.
I'm an experienced administrator, a people person and someone who genuinely loves making life easier for others.
I started JBB Solutions because I believe business owners deserve dependable, professional support without the pressure or commitment of employing someone full-time.
But there's a little more to me than spreadsheets and admin!

Who is JBB?
Hi, I'm Jessica Barbara Black, and this is my little introduction to the person behind the business.
I have a wonderful partner in Ross, who came into my life like an unexpected whirlwind, along with his daughter Liberty.
So these days I'm knee-deep in trying to be the best step-mum I can be, as well as being a very proud dog and cat mum to Sydney and Luna.
I'm also a solid wannabe running gym bunny and an absolute slave to karaoke. If there's a microphone around, you'll probably find me belting out anything from Celine Dion (my queen, my idol) to Biggie Smalls (my king, although maybe not my idol!).
I grew up on the continent, so I'm fluent in French and naturally something of a Champagne diva!
My heart is full of love for my friends and my huge, wonderfully complicated family. There's probably a book in there somewhere, but that's a story for another day.
How Was JBB Solutions Born?
A business built on real experience, resilience and understanding.
Just Brilliant Business Solutions wasn't created on a whim. It was built from real experience, resilience and a genuine understanding of what businesses need to keep moving forward.
The COVID pandemic forced me to stop and reassess after being made redundant following furlough, at a time when life felt particularly uncertain.
I'd moved into my own flat, only to find myself made redundant just two months later. It was a frightening time and a real wake-up call.
Although I was fortunate enough to return to employment during the pandemic, the idea of building something of my own never really went away.
Over the course of my career, I've been made redundant three times. Not because of a lack of capability, but because many businesses simply don't need full-time sales or administrative support long-term.
That experience helped shape the foundations of JBB Solutions.
I realised that businesses still need dependable, professional support, just without the overheads, commitment and risk of an in-house hire.
So I created a business that offers exactly that. Flexible administrative and business support that adapts to your needs, understands the pressures you face and quietly keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes.

I've worked in back-office and administrative roles since I was 17, bringing over 20 years of experience to the businesses I support.
I've worked with different systems, CRM platforms and business processes over the years.
But one thing never changes. Every business needs organised records, clear processes, attention to detail and someone who follows things through.
I'm a natural people person, pragmatic in my approach and good at bringing structure to busy, sometimes chaotic environments.
My role is to make things easier for you, not more complicated.
